Channelized Aquatic Scrubbers (CAS) at the City of Santa Rosa Laguna Treatment Plant (left).  SSU Graduate Student Caden Hare leading a tour of school children (right). Aquatic vegetation harvested from the CAS were fed to anaerobic digesters.  We also obtained plants from other locations, such as Ludwigia from Irwin Creek.  Removal of the plant reduces flooding danger and provides another substrate for the digesters at the treatment plant -- click here for photos of a harvest.
